Hanson Digital Fine Art Scanning and Printing

Send Files Information

Sending files to Hanson Digital is fast and easy. Use the appropriate form to the right to start your order (or above if on a phone or tablet).

After the form(s) are submitted, you will be directed to our exclusive WeTransfer Portal to upload your files for the project. Please use the same email address used in the online order form.

If your order contains multiple print types, please fill the form out for each type of process or service. You only need to upload once however, just separate your files into folders based on service and material type. For example, 1 folder for Archival Pigment Prints and 1 folder for Metal Prints. If you want multiple paper or metal types, create sub-folders in each to distinguish.

WeTransfer: It's very important that you agree to the Terms and Conditions and accept all cookies on the WeTransfer website prior to uploading or downloading files from our Portal. You will run into problems if you do not do not do this.

File Set Up Information

File Types: Please send you files flattened without layers unless we ask for a layered file. We can print from most file formats including Tif, Jpg, Flattened PSD, PDF, PNG... We suggest sending flattened tif or psd files for printing as they are a lossless file format.

File Naming: The more organized you are, the better we can help full fill your job. When naming your files to send in, please use the following structure if possible: File Name_Size_Quantity.tif. Here is an example: MyPerfectSunset_16x20_10copies.tif.

Resolution: If you have a strong file, we suggest at least having 150 dpi at the size you're printing at. Proofing options with our Studio Prints will help you visualize how a final print will turn out. For that service, we can also evaluate your image(s) and advise as necessary to ensure your prints look the best they can possibly be.

Color Space: For pigment prints, we suggest tagging your image with your current Photoshop or Imaging program's RGB color space. For CMYK Contract Proofing, you will want to set up your files according to your commercial printer's specifications.

File Compression

Prior to upload, we highly recommend that you Zip your files before sending. This reduces upload/download time and protects multiple files from corrupting during transmission. Please realize that large files will take longer to upload (e.g., a 1mb file will upload significantly faster than a 1gb file). Upload speeds are determined by the speed of your ISP service.

On a Mac right-click the file or folder, then select "Compress" to zip a file or folder.

On Windows, locate the file or folder that you want to zip. Press and hold (or right-click) the file or folder, select (or point to) "Send to"", and then select Compressed (zipped) folder. A new zipped folder with the same name is created in the same location.
